Travel & Design – Travel Website Inspiration

Yo yo reader, type, like, homies…. So in celebration of getting out my new redesign and going through inspiration from other bloggers, I wont lie, I have been in the ‘website inspiration” search faze of my days. It is for this reason I found a lot of Travel Website Inspiration and decided to bring you a Travel & Design series, based on websites that make me want to pick up my packed bags and take the hell off!!!

Most of us, reading from our favourite 9-5 desk are subjected to that feeling very often and If these below pictures of beautifully designed websites don’t make you want to jump on the phone to your travel agent I don’t know what will.

On this subject, if you do see or know of any websites that are designed so well they give you that feeling. Leave a comment below and let me know.

Casa Del Santo

Oh come on! as if you dont look at this and want to be on a road trip in the Italian countryside… I know Im pretty motivated. A simple site for an Italian Guest House with a modern navigation and beautiful rustic aesthetics that continue throughout the entire site. Check it out if your heading to Italy or just want some rural, italian inspiration

Seattle Space Needle

Love the large fresh font and funky bright covered box

Love love love the design on this funky, fun, modern website. I myself have not been to seattle but this site does motivate me to go (among the fact that I just want to go) My assumption is that the “Space Needle” is one of those very tall towers with amazing views and an expensive restaurant that a lot of cities have. However, this one has an uber cool website!

The navigation is similar to the above Italian website will the scrolly navigation but this one has a creative twist, you scroll upwards whilst watching the space needle navigate upwards (check it out, its pretty cool)

I lvoe everything from the funky, fun font, cool creative navigation, fresh transition between pages and well… okay I’ll stop now, but let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

I even love the loading bar

As if that does not make you want to be anywhere but on your 9-5 desk

Clouds over Cuba

A stand out website, using the website as a full page documentary. Whilst I hate music that starts automatically on websites, I dont mind it so much on this one, as its very subtle and creates the right mood when you go nto the website. Check it out and see

Passion about photography

Another real stand out. The front page is a huge and beautiful photo and as you scroll down the latest photos are in a well designed clean looking circle, the design idea of this caries on throughout the site with its catogories. Love it

Some fantastic web designs here, and it’s always interesting to see the comparisons between one hotel and another or one tourism board and the next. Interesting because of how much they see and value how important good web design is as part of advertising.
